THE BEGINNING
If you wish for me to discuss the beginnings of your interior I will
make an appointment to visit your own home. This will provide me
with the opportunity to visualise the space we have to work with,
original details within the architecture of the house, light and
colour. I will measure and take photographs.
Most importantly I want to listen to you, understand how you
will use the room, what ideas you have, and what you want.
This will become your room. |

John Hollis graduated from Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education in 1992. He gained the College Diploma in Furniture Design,
Craft and Management with distinction and special commendation. He holds City & Guilds Advanced certificates, also with distinction,
in cabinet making and finishing
John favours a restrained approach to design, concentrating on classical shapes and forms, but in the modern idiom.
